Junior Accounts Clerk
  • Maintain and update financial records for multiple teams.

  • Process invoices, purchase orders, and payments accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Reconcile accounts and prepare regular financial reports.

  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices and payments.

  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements.

  • Liaise with internal teams to ensure correct allocation of expenses and revenues.

  • Support the finance department with audits and compliance checks.

  • Handle petty cash transactions and reimbursements.

  • Ensure all financial transactions comply with company policies and accounting standards.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as an Accounts Clerk or in a similar finance role.

  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (Xero) and Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Good organisational and time management skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong communication skills for liaising with colleagues in different teams.

  • · Lead the comprehensive restructuring of the finance department, establishing robust accounting frameworks and processes from scratch.

  • · Manage and optimize daily financial operations, transitioning from traditional methods to standardized corporate accounting practices.

  • · Develop and enforce new financial policies and systems to increase efficiency and ensure compliance.

  • · Manage all accounts, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financial information.

  • · Prepare, review, analyze, and present financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and other financial reports with precision and strategic insight.

  • · Oversee the entire budgeting process, from planning to implementation, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals.

  • · Conduct thorough month-end and year-end closing processes.

  • · Provide critical financial data and strategic guidance to the management team to support informed decision-making.

  • · Supervise, mentor, and expand the accounting team, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous development.

  • · Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors to maintain compliance with all applicable regulations.

  • · Lead the selection and integration of new accounting software, customizing solutions to fit the dynamic needs of the corporate structure.

  • · Participate actively in strategic financial planning and executive decision-making processes.

Qualifications:

  • · Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or ACCA qualification.

  • · Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience, including demonstrable success in departmental leadership and systems overhaul.

  • · Comprehensive understanding of financial reporting, compliance, and budget management.

  • · Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.

  • · Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop a team, paired with strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • · Proficiency in advanced accounting software and technological tools.
